The big question

Sight is precious, and so is a quality brand lens. Especially with progressive lenses, there are enormous price differences. A comparison is difficult. Differences in quality, price, and visual experience lie in the design, calculation, and manufacturing of the lenses.

The more personalized, the better – and more expensive

The more personal additional information considered when adapting your progressive lens, the better you will be able to see.

Every moment is worth it

The brand-name progressive lens, perfectly adapted to your needs and precisely calculated, promises the highest precision and an unburdened, natural vision.

The power is in the data

Before a branded lens is manufactured for us, it always undergoes a fine calculation. This means that much more than just refractive error is taken into account during the design. Already in the first optimization stage, we get the maximum out of the lens values. We convert the measurement situation into an everyday situation. After all, during the eye test, the measuring lens sits differently in front of the eye and is significantly smaller than the actual glasses.

  • Standard Progressive Lens

Measured values are taken from the small measuring glass by default; the wearing situation of the glasses is not taken into account.

  • R+H Branded Progressive Lens

    Measured values are converted.

Increased visual precision, as the wearing situation of the glasses is taken into account and calculated for the entire size of the lens surface.

– The 4 Stages of Progressive Lens Optimization –

Level 1 – Gaze Dynamics

The focus is on your eyes and your ametropia. In addition to calculating the entire lens surface, gaze dynamics play a crucial role.

Nearsighted and farsighted individuals have different requirements and eye movements.

Level 2 – Fit and Form of Glasses

The focus is also on the frame you have chosen. Each model sits differently in front of your eyes. Therefore, frame-specific parameters are taken into account, such as:

  • Pupil distance
  • Distance eye-glasses
  • Pantoscopic tilt
  • Frame wrap angle
  • and much more

Level 3 – Anatomy and Posture

The focus is also on your anatomy and biometrics.

The question of whether you are right or left-handed, or the measurement of habitual movement patterns such as reading distance, may seem unusual for buying glasses at first glance, but these are important factors for achieving the best possible vision.

The result?
Up to 35% larger visual fields at arm's length. And that in a posture in which you feel comfortable and do not have to bend to look through a certain area in the varifocal glasses.

Level 4 – Unique Extras

Everyday life is often stressful enough. Therefore, your glasses should support you in every situation and ensure carefree vision. The SiiA® calculation technology ensures maximum brilliance at all times with up to 486,000 wavefront calculations.
